According to ABS stats there has was an increase of 46 % in non- housing residential construction done in the December 2017 quarter compared to the same time in 2016. This trend is expected to be continued when the 2018 results are released. This has resulted in the highest level of non – housing residential construction ever recorded in South Australia and the site of cranes on the Adelaide skyline is a testament to this increase.
Masters builders SA have reported that this is the result of incentives offered by the state government and the Adelaide Council. Resulting in stimulate building projects within Adelaide’s CBD. Many people are taking the opportunity to live closer to their work and to enjoy Adelaide’s vibrant night life.
“After some tough years, optimism is on the rise in the South Australian construction industry’ Master Builders SA Chief Executive Ian Markos said.
